It's LA again and we are ready to take off!

I and my twinnie Tiia Camilla traveled to Los Angeles, the main reason was to attend Coachella festival in Palm Springs, where I had a couple of collaborations to work with. But, we decided to take a bit longer trip to stay one week first in LA before going to Coachella. We stayed the whole week in the Orlando Hotel, which is located in my favorite area in LA in Beverly Hills. The location of the hotel couldn't be better. Everything is close by like the shopping streets in Melrose Avenue, The Grove, Beverly Center shopping mall is 5 minutes walk from the hotel and great fine dining restaurants ( including their own Cleo Restaurant ), also my favorite cocktail bar E.P. & L.P was right next to us. This hotel is made for Instagrammers! I fell in love with the design of the hotel ( as you may see from my various pictures of the restaurant/lounge with photographer Anastasiia Dotsenko ). The classy and boutique style of hotel fitted perfectly to my own niche! Situated in the heart of Mid-City's vibrant West 3rd Street in Los Angeles bordering Beverly Hills and West Hollywood, The Orlando offers a hip urban ambiance that blends genuine hospitality and understated luxury.

The Orlando – the only hotel on West Third Street – has entered into a partnership with SBE Hospitality, which plans to open a second Cleo Restaurant in Los Angeles, with a separate entrance facing West Third Street. The celebrity-friendly eatery is known for sharable Mediterranean plates under the direction of Chef Danny Elmaleh and marries old Hollywood glamour with relaxed Mediterranean charm. Their breakfast was so tasty - I got my granola bowl and coffee with almond milk ;)

What I really enjoyed about the hotel was that it was so quiet. We had a pleasant time. The rooftop pool was sophisticated and tidy. They have also 'outside living room' where I could do some work and editing pictures on the laptop in the shadow! I couldn't ask more from 4 stars boutique hotel. The staff was so helpful. I had several clothing packages coming to me for Coachella festival and the staff made sure that I got them all and kept them secure. They were always there when I needed them. An extra thank you for the cute lady who came every evening knocking on our door with the little chocolate gift to make our sleep even sweeter!

As crazy as it sounds, we decided to take a Uber from LA to Malibu to visiting in Malibu Wine Safari Vinery. It costs about 50 dollars in one way and the views was absolutely outstanding! One option would have been rent a car but we both wanted to taste local wines and no needed to stress about driving back to LA. The Vinery was up in the hills of Malibu. We drove right next to the coastline of California. ( I will publish a vlog soon, where you can see these gorgeous views! ) I'm so amazed how they have got all together and built up everything all over again after the November 9th, 2018 fire in Malibu. You can read more about how they process during the fire and took care of the animals here. The overall experience was excellent. I loved the idea to have a fancy tour throughout the safari life and enjoy nice local wines with a comfortable environment.

After well spend week we were so ready to go on the road and make our way to Palm Springs with our professional chauffeur Jonathan. I know Jonathan for almost a year and every time when I'm on the road with him I feel so safe and secure. He is really professional and wonders why he has the biggest Hollywood artists as a long time client. He picked us from the Orlando Hotel at 6 AM because we wanted to get to the high way before the rush hour to Coachella will start. I heard that it's insane traffic and the normal 1-hour journey can last over 6 hours during the heaviest traffic jam. Our trip went fast though! We even had time to stop by an early breakfast in Palm Springs.

We attended Coachella Weekend 1, which started on Friday and finished on Sunday night. I did a couple of collaborations for Coachella Festival with brands like Missguided and Bondi Sands ( see the pictures). Bondi Sands did an amazing job with their Mansion Party in Palm Springs. They got some amazing DJs @itsjameskennedy and @phiphibb and the party hosted in a decked-out mansion complete with a pool and entertainment (Carnival theme with plenty to keep us busy including balloon walls, bouncy house, lawn games, and more!) I got crazy with the decoration of the party that I couldn't stop taking pictures... I had the best time for such a long time. I think this was the best parties I have had ever been in my life! I can't wait until next year. This was my first time in Coachella and now I know what to expect next time but I would say day parties are the thing!

Stay tuned - I will upload my Coachella Vlog soon… Until then you can see the videos on my IG ‘Coachella’ Highlight. - Paula xx
